Volunteering at Calvary
Would you like to make a difference in someone else’s life?  Do you have some spare time, either during the week, or at weekends?

Calvary is currently extending its volunteer services throughout the hospital with the following services:

• Meal Mates - a volunteer program that offers longer term patient support at meal times
• Hand and Foot Massage - volunteers offer this service to patients throughout the hospital

Auxiliary volunteers support the hospital through  fundraising,  assisting with the snacks and library trolley,  offer flower care and provide a guiding service.

HeadsUp@Calvary is a volunteer program providing head coverings to those who have lost their hair due to their treatment.

Veterans visitors provide a visiting service to war veterans in the hospital.

Gardening volunteers help maintain the relaxing outdoor areas around the hospital.

Recreational therapy is provided to patients in our Aged Care Rehabilitation area Hyson Green and Older Persons Mental Health Unit.

Pastoral Care volunteers offer support to patients through a visiting service in the hospital.

Consumer representatives sit on various Committees of the hospital offering a patient perspective to these committees
