Human Research  Ethics Committee  Information for Researchers

The Calvary Health Care ACT Human Research  Ethics Committee (HREC) is constituted in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) guidelines.

The aim of the HREC is to ensure that high ethical standards are maintained in research projects to protect the interests of research subjects, investigators and the institution. In carrying out these functions, the HREC, at all times, take into consideration guidelines issued by the NHMRC; the Catholic Health Australia Code of Ethical Standards for Catholic Health and Aged Care Services; together with local cultural and social attitudes.
