Public Hospital - Visiting Hours
Visitors are welcome at Calvary Health Care ACT. Please respect rest periods as they are an important part of a patient's recovery process. Immediate family may consult each ward's Unit Manager regarding special arrangements for visiting patients.
Visiting hours vary from ward to ward so please check with each individual ward as to what the hours are. In general, visitors are welcome between 11 am and 8 pm excluding the rest period in the middle of the day. The Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and Clare Holland House allow visitors 24 hours of the day unless otherwise advised. Long visits may tire patients, so please show consideration and stay for short periods only. We also ask that visitors are considerate of other patients and keep noise levels low when visiting. Visitors may be requested to leave the ward for short periods during patient treatment or in an emergency situation in the ward. Children are always welcome to visit but we ask that they are appropriately supervised for the safety of all concerned. We recommend no more than three visitors per patient, for the comfort of the patient being visited and the comfort of other patients. Sometimes, a patient and/or their doctor may request no visitors. return to menu |
