Clare Holland House

Clare Holland House is a hospice serving the ACT and the region.
Clare Holland House provides high quality, skilled and compassionate palliative care to patients with an advancing illness who are no longer responding to curative treatment.
We acknowledge that every patient's journey to Clare Holland House is different and individual. We offer you the opportunity to continue your journey in a calm, peaceful and supportive environment.
Illness, loss and death are a natural and inevitable part of life's journey and many of us find these times distressing and challenging. Our fear of dying, separation from our loved ones, the strain of caring, financial pressures, fear of an uncertain future, the prospect of loneliness and insecurity are just some of the concerns we all face.
The staff and volunteers of Clare Holland House understand and empathise with these concerns. We are all personally committed to the universal qualities of compassion, loving kindness, equanimity and respect for the preciousness of life.
Clare Holland House is managed by Calvary Health Care ACT and is funded by ACT Health.
MIssion Statement
Empowered by the spirit and traditions of the Little Company of Mary, we, the Members of the Board of Management, and the staff of Clare Holland House, dedicate ourselves to continuing the healing ministry of Jesus. We recognise the dignity of human life as we strive for excellence in providing care for the terminally ill. Enriched and supported by each other we work together to find better ways of caring for the dying and those dear to them in an atmosphere of mutual respect, compassion and peace.
