They provide support and companionship for patients and their families, and assist in practical ways with meals, flowers and linen. In addition, volunteers will sit quietly with patients, write letters or read to them. The Society provides trained massage therapists to massage patients and carers if they would like this service. Volunteers also support families who are caring for a patient on the home-based program.
