About Us

Calvary Health Care ACT is a not-for-profit hospital that provides public and private hospital services within the Australian Capital Territory. We employ more than 1,000 staff across all the services and manage 334 beds in the acute and sub-acute sectors.

Calvary Health Care ACT is situated in a beautiful bushland setting serving the community in the northern part of the ACT and surrounding areas.

Calvary Health Care ACT was built in 1979 as the second public hospital in the ACT. The private hospital commenced operations in 1987.

On 15 February 2007 we opened the new ACT Older Persons Unit. Housed in the Keaney Building (No. 9 on the site map)the new sub-acute facility contains an additional 48 beds. The Unit is for older people in our community requiring either rehabilitation or psycho-geriatric care.

Calvary Health Care ACT is owned by the Little Company of Mary Health Care, a national organisation providing hospital services, aged care, home-based and palliative care at 26 locations around Australia.
